PlayStation Error Codes and how to understand them
Modern day consoles are wonderfully built and come with incredible engineering inside and out. However despite this, they can still come up with error codes from time to time. Which can be awfully frustrating for you gamers out there.
In this short article, we want to share with you the most common PlayStation error codes and what you can do to fix them so you can get your console back up and running.

PlayStation Error Code NW-31453-6
It occurs along with the message “The network connection has been lost,” indicating a delayed server response.
To fix: try the internet connection test at [settings] > [network] > [Test internet connection] and check the internet status is valid.
Also be sure to check the PlayStation network is up and running at PlayStation.com
PlayStation Error Code SU-30645-8
This error code occurs when the system software update file is not recognized by the PS4 system and has failed.
To fix: reinstall the PS4 system software using safe mode by completely shutting down your PS4 (hold down the power button). Once the system light is off, start the PS4 system in Safe Mode by holding the power button until you hear a second beep, and you will see an option to select safe mode.
PlayStation Error Code CE-34878-0
This error code is caused by an issue running the game that is currently being played on the system and indicates a firmware error.

PlayStation Error Code NW-31297-2
This is caused by a failure to connect to the wireless network.
To fix; configure the internet connection under the network settings on the console. If this continues to then try disconnecting other devices from the wireless connection and keep trying.

PlayStation Error Code CE-33991-5
This error code is caused when the PS4 cannot connect to the network.
Once again, be sure to check out the PlayStation website to ensure that the network is up and running – and then run an internet connection test under the settings.
PlayStation Error Code CE-30774-1
This error occurs when the system cannot update using a USB storage device. There are two things you need to do to check to fix this:
Firstly, check that the USB is formatted as FAT or exFAT – you can do this by plugging into a PC and formatting that way. Also ensure that the update file is stored in correct file structure; if ever in doubt be sure to redownload it.
PlayStation Error Codes CE-35287-5
This error code populates when the PSN is down or temporarily unavailable. The only fix is to wait for the PSN to come back up.
